The Tisbe copepods, the smallest among the three varieties we carry, exhibit a nocturnal behavior, offering a protective advantage against predators and facilitating the establishment of a resilient, self-sustaining colony in your tank. These adult copepods show a preference for inhabiting live rock and glass, actively consuming detritus during the night. Notably, Mandarinfish are especially fond of Tisbe pods. Utilizing live copepods as a natural food source for your fish and corals proves to be an excellent choice for maintaining a thriving reef aquarium.

Adaptability: Their life cycle is rather short. They like a fairly warm environment, and their development time decreases with increasing water temperature up to 25°C (77°F).
Diet: Excellent source of highly unsaturated fatty acids (HUFA), high in n-3 fatty acids.
Benefits for Aquarists: High fertility, short gestation period, high fecundity, resistant to parameter swings, consume detritus.

Each 90ml Bottle contains more than 1100 pods ( copepodite & Adults mixed ) . Occupying the crevices and creases of live rock and macroalgae, these petite copepods strategically conceal themselves to safeguard their population from potential predators in marine aquariums. Their nocturnal behavior not only sustains them as a reliable food source within your tank but also provides a source of entertainment for your fish, keeping them engaged in natural hunting behavior. Beyond serving as a highly nutritious treat for your fish, these copepods contribute to your aquarium's "Clean Up Crew" by actively consuming nuisance algae in both the main tank and refugium. Consider these creatures as the smallest contributors to your aquatic food chain.
